Are you more excited about the Democratic National Convention being held in Denver this week or the return of the reality show America's Got Talent?  Let's wait and see which event get's more votes from the American Public!  It's sad but true.

Now that NBC and it's family of networks plus online have me hooked on continuous on-demand coverage of the Olympics with complete wrap ups and instant information whenever I feel like it.........what do I do?  Football starts this weekend which is GREAT, but it won't be the same.  I don't believe we have a network that will cover every college football game in the country and let me pick and choose the games to watch and on whatever channel I want, but it would be cool!  Something to think about.  I'll just have to wait till Vancouver and the Winter games in 2009.

August 30th is the start of the 2008 College Football season!  KXY will once again be your home for all the OSU Cowboy Football games.  Check out the new updates to Boone Pickens Stadium!  Got the chance to visit yesterday....took the pics from the sidewalk at Gallagher-Iba arena.  We went up to the new suites on the North side and they are really nice!  I was so awestruck I didn't take any pics!  Stupid me.  You can catch each game as well as the coach Gundy call in show each Tuesday night at 7pm and Cowboy Sports updates every night at 6:55pm.  Go Pokes!

How about temps in the 80s and it's the middle of August....it's usually over 100 when school starts, but I'm sure the school districts will enjoy not cranking the air during the first few weeks of school!  Football season is about to begin....August 30th for most schools and it will come just in time after the olympics end this weekend......speaking of the olympics.  I've been in olympic overload with too many channels to watch and staying up too late watching them all.....have you noticed all the ties for gold never go the American's way?.....went to the Brooks and Dunn show last Sunday.... 

I'm not a meteorologist, but like Forrest said..."I'm not a smart man", but I know when we need rain.  I water at night, but the sun is burning up the front yard grass and small plants.  Thanks to Dolly, it looks like we're get some H2O on the grass today.  We"ll see...I'm sure Mike Morgan and the 4Warn storm team will keep me up to date.
